1990 Civic (BLUPY) Track Car Build
So here is my 1990 civic I am building. Pictures are not the greatest but you get the picture. It has a GSR motor and trans as of right now. Lots and lots of weight reduction. I paid a pretty good penny for this car since it is rust free. I loved my old hatch but wanted something that looked good. Many many hours stuck into this thing so far. Thank you Snow for all the help with the car.

d/r's on all 4 rims huh.. thats interesting lol. looks pretty good minus the fenders which was already mentioned and the front bumper. but i can understand not wanting to spend money you dont absolutely have to.
also, is that color electron blue pearl!? i love ebp!

I used to have another civic hatch with a supercharged b16, suspension and ran falken azenis. I had a blast with that car and decided to build something better.
First time I took it to the track, I forgot to lower the tire pressure and the thing kepts spinning out. Got really frustrated really fast. After the second run, I figured that out and damn. This thing is a handful. Fun as hell to drive though.
There are a couple more little bugs to work out of it. Next year it is getting a fully built b16 head and the jackson racing supercharger from my old civic. I would like to get a little more weight out of it yet. Current weight is 1660 pounds.
The color is the 99 civic SI blue.

Looks very nice. Where did you relocate the battery? I'm in the middle of relocating my battery to the truck right now - but installing an Hawker 680 sealed lead acid one instead.
I'm in the process of slowly converting a rust free EF (had it shipped out from CA) into a daily driver / track car. I'm reducing weight but will not even get close to where you already sit. I do miss my old h5 Honda Challenge EF.

I have an odessey PC 680 right behind the passenger seat. It is up on the ledge where the rear seat went bumped up against the B pillar. I made and aluminum bracket for a tie down, was quite easy.
Can't wait till next year. I am looking to get the car down to 1600 somehow. Also the built b16 head and the jackson racing should make the thing just nuts!!!
Is the 1660 a measured weight or subtraction from stock numbers? Thats pretty light already. Im rocking a stripped 88 rex, hf at that. So lightest year lightest model and i cant get those numbers on a race scale, lexan mower batter blah blah. Maybe i should remove oil/coolant/gas before weighing haha.
