Default Who would like a H22/H23 tranny cuff ???

So the question is, would people like a Hseries tranny cuff?

I'd like to hear from the people running the Hseries tranny and if they would prefer a cuff vs the H2B kit?

I would be depending on price, if I go much further than I am already I have a feeling I am going to need to start addressing some transmissions issues.

It keeps the shafts from seperating. Honda gears are pretty tough, but when the shafts start to seperate, all the torque start getting applied further and further out on each tooth untill they snap off. The closer you keep the gears together, the more life you will get out of your tranny.

This look very promising for us f/ h series guys, up for others who would be interested.

When I get my hands on one I will post up some pictures of it. I am going to put it in a spare trans. to check out fitment and everything as a a backup to try when I need it.

someone should come out with a cuff that takes place of 3rd gear so the cuff is right in the center of the two shafts.. you would still have 3rd and 4th above the cuff.. it would take some modifying bearings, collars, and shift forks, and possibly the case but i dont see why it cant be done.

Does anyone have first hand experience with this? I am wondering if it will take 700whp on the stock trans?

I was always under the assumption that the H series trans dident have gear separation issues like the b series but that the gear its self was actually weaker and would typically just shear the teeth off the gear? true or false info ??? got me..

That's what 3rd gear looked like when I just had to replace it not long ago.

I have > 20 sets of gears tha look like that. Saenz held up pretty good for a few years... Had to sell it though...Looking at a new set. PM me, My car breaks everything. I could test it.

OEM gears, the H si stronger than a B, dont believe the bullshit. Trust me... The only thing the B USED to have going for it better was the improved axle angle for EG/DC etc with H swaps, and availability of aftermarkt support. That has changed ALOT... B trannys are definately NOT stronger... LOL.

ANyways, Im exploring cuff options. My car breaks EVERYTHING..... currently R&D testing stuff for Syncrotec, CC and another currently... All drivetrain stuff... GO figure LOL

Cuff has already been tested and works well. I stopped making them for a while because there was no demand, but I just ran a few so I now have them in-stock again.

Been running this cuff from day one, made 650hp, going back to shoot for around 750hp next week or so. Haven't really launched to hard on it yet, car has been down the track though, just been trying to dial a few things in first.
