compensator arm installation question
i got a new compensator arm for my car because the bushings are gone bolts stuck in them i got my car aligned but they couldnt do the rear toe because of this. My question is where the compensator arm bolts to the trailing arm, i backed that bolt all the way out but it hits the frame and theres not enough room to take the bolt out. Do i have to drop the trailing arm to get this bolt out so it will clear the frame? The helms said to take out the compensator arm you just drop the two bolts on the arm and it drops out. thanks in advance.
it is a tight fit. im assuming it is that inside bolt. if i remember right i had to use a swivle(sp??) and a longer extension but had to wiggle the bolt up there.
Remove the inner bolt, then jack up the rear suspension so that it drops the nose of the trailing arm down... you should get enough clearance to remove the bolt.
I had to drop the trailing arm to get mine out on my DA. I think you could get it if you just take out the two bolts through the trailing arm bushing rod and drop the front end of the trailing arm a little bit..?
