Me vs The Weather
New car. DD lives outside 24/7. I'm in AZ. Dusty, Dry, 110 degrees. UV index HIGH.
Can I win? Fast forward 10 years. Wax 3 times a year, with Turtle Wax (cheap green one). Clay once every 3 years.
Will there be oxidation on the top surfaces, like many older cars? What's your prediction?
And what would be your recommended game plan?

im stationed in 29 palms CA and I know exactly how you feel, but DO NOT use a car cover, the sand and dirt will get between that and your car and just act as sand paper against your paint.
As for car cover, no as mentioned, it'll be like sand paper in real world use for me.
The car just have to live outside, no options.
If a car stays outside that long I'd much rather use a nice polymer sealant than a wax. Its not expensive and it works great, I live in NE Texas and although my car stays in a garage the sealant will last me around a month or so and is incredibly easy to put on.
