Default Cold idle help

Hey guys,

I just picked up a 1991 Civic with an OBD1 B16 swapped in. The car has an AEM cold air intake as well. So far I'm very happy with the car, but the cold idle is way too high. Startup with a cold engine gives me a 2000+ rpm idle. Once the car is up to temp it settles in to a reasonably stable 800rpm idle. Do I adjust this out with the idle screw, or will that mess up my warm idle? What should I be looking for to fix this? Thanks for the help.

Its most likely the FITV (fast idle thermal valve) its what controls the idle when cold. The FAQS has a good write up on how to adjust it, its called how to fix your idling woes, in the do it yourself section.
Dont mess with the idle screw.
