Default 99-00 EK fog lights

Hey guys, I was looking for a set, but I can only seem to find the Raybrig clear ones from Honda. I never really did much research on these, but did Honda come out with a set with yellow lights? I want the yellow ones, not the clear ones and I kind of need some suggestions on where to get them. I know they are hard to find nowadays, but any help is appreciated, thanks.

Has anyone ever tried the foglights from passwordjdm.com or weaksauceparts.com? I was wondering about the quality of those cuz those are around $125.

my friend has password jdm fogs on his ek coupe and he has had no problems with them whatsoever, i have oem fogs and also have had no problems, go to lamin-x.com and get their yellow protective film- its pretty thick and saves your investment from cracking

Thanks SlateEk, I honestly don't like buying non-oem made lighting equipment because my friend who bought a pair of civic headlights that was manufactured by DEPO (the company that makes the fog lights for password and weaksauce) ended up fogging up after 6 months, which meant the seal sucks on those headlights. Maybe their fogs are different, either or...I can get the OEM raybrig kit for the same price of $125 and just put the yellow vinyl on them since the raybrig kits only come with clear foglights. What's the point of buying OEM style when you can get raybrig right? When you say thick film, how thick we talkin about?

oh yea, one more thing, with the lamin-x films, how easily do they come off if I decide to replace it from wear and tear, and if its removable, does it leave any sticky gunk behind on the lens?

In the US we only got clear foglights. Some other countries had yellow foglights available from Honda.

Just keep an eye open for some JDM yellow foglights.

No. Really bad stories about them. They don't like to send products on time and have shitty customer service.

Password:JDM sells DEPO kits for cheaper. They're aftermarket and not so great. The '96-'98 ones seem to be prone to more issues, but leaking ansd grounding issues (flickering lights) seem to be the most common problems.

If you're gonna buy non-oem products, why pay double the price for the same things, I.E. PWJDM fogs.. same as most ebay ones.

The film isnt thick at all, It doesnt use any type of glue, Just soap and water, kind of like tint. Maybe a heat gun. To get it off just use soap and water again, Alot of it.

Nice kit EPBcivic, but I checked out the website and that's WAY too much more than what I'm willing to pay for, I mean almost $400 just for foglights. Of course these are top notch and not like the weaksauce and passwordjdm ones, but still. I can get the Raybrig ones for $120, a lot lot cheaper...but their clear -_-. I guess I might leave them clear and put protective film over to get the yellow tint.

I don't want to buy weaksauce or jdmpassword's fogs because they are manufactuered by DEPO and as NOFX has stated, they have had issues with leaking and fogging up etc etc (which I didn't know because Ive only seen headlights made by them which did leak), so why pay $125 for non-oem equipment? I rather just get Raybrig for the same $125 price, at least they are known famously for their lighting equipment. You guys have all been helpful and I think I'm just going to get the Raybrig one. Thanks everyone. OEM would be nice, but I'm not willing to shell $400 for OEM fogs, I'm not balla like EPBcivic haha.

As for the post above, I think you can call passwordjdm or weaksauce for the wiring and the relay, I think they sell those separately...I THINK...just don't get the fogs themselves...lol.

yeah the fogs weren't cheap as you can tell.. $389.. cash.. but i mean to each his own. i decided I didn't want to get OEM and put the film over it because I did it before with my old 99 EX and it wasn't the same. My friend of mine had the ones i have now and you could tell the difference. The clear fogs are great. I mean you can't beat OEM Raybrig/Stanley. I just needed the real deal on the jdm ones..

OEM is definitely the way to go if you can afford it.

Friend has some ebay ones (came with the car, and thats where the prev owner said he got them) and they work fine, but I already had to replace half the wiring harness on one side. I had to replace the connector on the other.

Relatively minor issues, but you really shouldn't have to do that for a new fog setup.

The great thing about OEM clear ones is you can change things up if you get bored with them.

Different bulb colors or tinted film and the car can look different than it did minutes before.

You speak the truth NOFX...decided to forget the yellow film and just get yellow bulbs, the clear look is growing on me. Damn you EBP, you damn lucky bastard hahaha. I DO understand where you are coming from though. I've never looked twice at non-oem parts, seen friends go through thick and thin just trying to bend aftermarket fenders to fit 0_0 Not something I want to do deal with.

Although I have to admit, out of the tons of money I've invested in my Taffeta white 2000 hatch, I do have one replica part...and that's the fake nardi steering wheel. I had purchased a Personal Neo Grinta Perforated LEather one, but I found out quick that removing and taking the wheel on and off can scuff the steering wheel if you're not super careful, so I said forget it. I rather get something fake and not worry about it getting scratched when being thrown into my backpack or gym bag along with the other stuff. Crappy leather wrapping though haha...eh watevs
