I drive an automatic ls turbo 94 teggy as my daily and love it
it runs and drives nice

just wanted to know who all has done this and what problems have they ran into?

 

what kind of power are you putting out? im just curious, i have no idea what autos can hold.

boosted automatic ls?

pix & i heard after awhile of a boosted automatic your motor can blow? lol

because i want mine boosted and i have a ls DC automatic..but i don't want to risk that hahaha.

 

i just hear the you go through trannies like no other.

What's your setup like becuase i heard that untuned setups will mess up your engine

 

Im using an FMU to tune it

it had a chipped ecu and ran NICE but it made it idle funky
i dont get on it much so just using an Fmu is okay in my opinion

 

I'd never call a fmu "okay" no matter how often you get on it. It only takes one pull and your motor could be toast. I've known a few people with turbo auto Integras, and they were bored easily due to the low amount of power you can push thru one. The auto tranny sucks *** bone stock, so adding boost to it is just a matter of time before it decides to destroy itself.

 

good thread, lets keep this going. planning on turbo'ing my auto ls as well for SAGs hahah. from alot of older auto + boost thread, people add trans cooler and this seems to prolong the tranny

 

they come with trans coolers or at least mine did

the tranny explode myth is a lie

i beat the **** outta my car and it takes it haha

ebay intercooler
street tires.
xs power 38mm wastegate
stock internals for now
just broke my boost controller actually :S so im on like 4 psi
with boost controller set at 14 it pulld strong
beat some stuff like awd turbo eclipse, Ls crx

 

what the, stock injectors??

 

If you swap it to a manual it would be quicker.

 

my friends ls took 25 psi on stock injectors

and i know if i swap it to 5 speed itl be faster
how hard is that to do? what all do i need other than linkage and trans

25psi stock injectors? thats nuts. Theres no way that held up. Thats more than lean, i wouldnt even know what to call that much lack of fuel

it ran like that four about a year until he took the ls out and put in ina crx and made it all motor and the engine STILL runs

 

my buddy here did it and went threw a couple trannies..
