Default Messing around with my exhaust "input"?

So my civic with 150,000 miles on it needs a new muffler. I heard rattling the other day and narrowed it down to the muffler. Upon futher instepction the rattling comes from inside.

I was thinking about buying the same magnaflow catback I had on my previous hatch. But I wanted to have a little fun and see if people have done this sort of thing.

I found a carbon fiber kerker exhaust for a sportbike, I was thinking about just taking the muffler off and welding this on, and see how it sounds.

Anybody ever try this? how did it sound?

I figure if it sounds stupid it will just get replaced in a week but if it sounded good, then I figure id keep it.

Bike mufflers are designed completely differently from passenger car mufflers. Just do it right the first time and get something that's designed for your car.

Seriously, just do it. Not like you are going to keep it on if it sounds terrible (and it probably will).

Would be an interesting experiment

I talked to this guy who had a crx and put a Vance n hines SS2R muffeler from a GSX-R 750 on it and said it sounded sweet.

Hopefully when I do this I can figure out how to take videos off of my camcorder so i could post a vid for you guys.
