Hey, i've been tryin to track down a clean black carpet from someone on here but everyones is pretty beat up. its 20 years old i know, so im not worried about it. I was wondering if anyone had ever ordered an aftermarket carpet kit. I found one at JCWhitney, thats supposed to be the exact same, molded and everything, for a crx.

I was wondering if anyone had ever bought one of those. How did it turn out? good fit? quality issues? cuz its 230 bucks. not exactly a freebie. let me know. thanks.

 

ive tried the aftermarket replacement it was near impossible to get it to fit half right i ripped it out and bought stock used carpet off ebay it took awhile to find a clean one but i eventually did.

 

I ordered that carpet for my 91 civic hatch and the mold was not even close to original carpet. I didnt order from jc whitney but it is the same carpet that they sell is the same. I would look into dying your old carpet or just keep looking. The crap that I bought was not close to worth it and I even had to pay 60 dollars to ship it to Alaska, Box said it cost them 15. Yep got one too dont fit at all....wish I would of found a post like this when I was looking to buy it.

But I have the areas that look bad covered up with seats and stuff...so it will do until I can find a stock one.

 

Try going to an upholstery shop and ask prices there. If you are willing you can buy carpet for cheap without the mold and save.

 

damn. I was really hoping to get a carpet in my car. I know of someone that has a decent one, but its uber expensive, for 20 years old. i am just lookin for alternatives.

yeah i ended up lurking ebay for some minty carpet to show up. i ended up spending 160 for 91 oem black carpet. looks like new though. You might just keep an eye out on ebay.
