Z6 head on A6 block
Looking for options on my "barn find" CRX Si and there is a local shop who has a D16Z6 they pulled out of a Del Sol(i believe a 93). The head is off and had just been built when the motor was removed. There is paperwork proving a Crower stage 2 cam was installed along with a resurface. I saw this car and noticed a rear disc conversion among other mods so I want to make sure this head originally belonged on the Z6. The casting number on the head reads: P08-8. I'm having it checked for bent valves because the crank broke and let a piston touch two of the valves. Would like to have suggestions from you if it is a waste of time and money to make this head work while buying the OBD1 conversion harnesses or if I should concentrate on building the A6 head and keep it original. My goal is 150 hp at the crank.
I noticed the mini-me swap instructions praised the Y8 head so I'm skeptical about the Z6 head if it is inferior.
