I paid my buddy's tranny shop 100 bucks to install new seals , bearings (ball) , synchro sleeves and differential , they charged me 100$ they said they would also "CLEAN" my tranny.... well when I got the tranny the thing was primered..... I was like wtf? were ya gonna paint the thing? is this normal?

You sure it wasn't just media blasted? If it is primered (after through cleaning) I'd say you scored. And $100 is a good price for what they have done.

 

that's probably what they did. only reason they did it so cheap is because I work for a dealership down the road and I send him alot of business.
