My girlfriend bought this car new in 2003 and has every receipt including the original window sticker and paperwork. Only option (as I understand it) was the spoiler (see sticker below). It has 91,400 highway commuting miles on it and is in what I would consider "great" shape. Never raced nor abused. It has a small door ding in the passenger rear quarter and a scrape on the left rear bumper from a parking block. Interior is immaculate black leather with an aftermarket Pioneer head unit, XM satellite, and it runs great.

I posted it on craigslist according to what else was on there, and what kelley blue book and NADA estimated, and got a few immediate replies, but the offers were all over the place...ranging from a stick of bubblegum to 10% under my asking price (but that guy didnt' email back). Since then I haven't heard a peep. Can you give me an idea of what I should be asking? I've been told its a rare color (Arctic Blue Pearl) and I'm sure a one-owner with impeccable maintenance (every oil change at the Acura dealer even!) is rare as well. Any help? Thanks in advance

i would pay more for a bone stock one that i would a modded one.. i dont want to thats been ****ed with..

 

This car was way cleaner than most stock ones you will find and much better maintained than 99% of the cars out there. Thing still drove and looked new.

 

yep i agree 100% on this one a bone stock car cost more then a modded one. why?

#1 you dont know if the previews owner ran the **** out of it.

#2 you dont know if that car has been on a accident.

#3 well pretty much a bone stock car is a virgin one.

i say if you put so much money into a car just take the aftermarket parts out and sell it bone stock you would get more like that.

 

yeah but it loses a ton of value when its been modded.. modding a car does not add to its value unless its a factory option parts. and in acuras case including comptech additions since they were available from the dealer with those options.

and i can see a stock rsx pulling 9 grand fine.. they are still very sought after and dealerships always get calls looking for them. for a discontinued vehicle they have retained their value very well.

 

Here around portland Type-S's go $10k+. You MIGHT be able to get one with 120k miles for around $9,000. Honestly though, you can pick up a better condition ep3 for around 6 grand. k24 swap+coils for less than a type s.... well thats just what id do...

 

should have reverted it back to stock and then sold it and sold the parts. you probably would have made ~13500 instead of 8500.

Sounds about right.. $10,000. But in today's economy, it'll probably sell for $8-8.5.
