WTT: 89 Helios GLI VR6 for your 1st gen Talon or Eclipse or ???
Looking to trade for something boosted. My ideal trade would be a 1st gen Eclipse or Talon, FWD ONLY!
Motor
OBD2 VR6 out of a 98 GTI. 93,500 miles (will climb, car is my daily)
Fresh chains and guides
Fresh clutch and pressure plate
Billet crack pipe
New coolant plastics all around
New thermostat
G60 Radiator
10" Slim fan
WRD cable clutch kit
Fresh fluids all around
Some catback exhaust. Not sure on the name. VERY quiet though.
Body
Rust free Helios. Around 180,000 on the shell.
A few dings and waves on the body. Nothing too bad.
Clears peeling a little on the sunroof
Interior
Corrado steering wheel
Full power everything, and everything works
NO tears on the Helios seats. Slight stain on the driver's seat, but thats it.
MINT headliner
MINT carpet
Cluster in the car is from the donor, and shows the correct engine mileage.
The only bad in the interior is that the dash is cracked right above the cluster.
Suspension
VR strut bearings
Koni Yellows
Neuspeed race springs
Poly CA bushings
Autotech swaybar up front
Have a swaybar for the rear, not installed. Don't know the name.
Neuspeed strut bar for the front. Not installed
Rear strut bar, not sure of the name.
Brakes
Braided lines all around
Slotted rotors up front
The car runs and drives great. I use it absolutely every day, and would trust driving it ANYWHERE. I'm just about done putting A/C in the car, just need to wire everything up and charge it. PS is there, and works great. Tires have plenty of life left. This car is driven NOT beaten.

Bump. For those of you who don't know what a Helios GLI is, it was a special production model Volkswagen put out for one year only. Only 1500 of these cars exist on the PLANET. Car comes with the original motor. Timing belt broke on it though, bent a few valves.

Well, if I were to sell it, i'd want around 4200 for it, which is a good price, considering the rareity of the car, the swap, and all the extra parts that would come with it if I decided to completely get out of the VW scene (whole extra set of seats, original motor/trans, crap tons of hardware, radiators, core supports, A/C stuff, etc.). So if anyone's interested in buying it, hit me up on here. I can't even drive it right now, dislocated my shoulder yesterday...

Vortex is gonna hate you for unloading a Helios on a Honda forum. A VR swapped Helios of all things. LoL What are thinking?? Turbo or vortech that bish.
