Default What amp to buy?

My friend gave me his JBL 10in subwoofers. I have no idea what kind of amp I should get. Im not going to play super loud music everytime im in my car but would like a little boost to my sound system.

you have to know what ohm they are, or else your gonna screw yourself on your amp more than likely.. or burn it up.. or blow your speakers.. its not hard, just pull the 8 screws out and see what it is.

you need to find out what the power rating are on subs also in order to get an amp that works efficiently with the subs that you have

well i mean, i know tons of amps that will sufficiently work, 1/2ohm and 1ohm stable amps that can surely do the job, but just guessing is not the way it should be done

Check with your friend and ask him how it was wired up and what the rating on the subs is if you don't know how to find out. We can't help you if we don't know what we're working with.
