im about to buy a new exhaust for my captiva blue pearl del sol. its lowered 2.5 inches. the choice is between a ws2 or a buddyclub spec II. i want everyones opinion, thanks!
well that's pretty simple really.
do you want loud or quiet?
Quiet=WS2
Loud=Buddy Club
for looks, i choose buddy club. BUT let me tell you the Spec II is loud as hell and will get annoying in a hurry. I have the Spec III on my ITR, and it is extremely loud. I do not recommend the Spec II if the car is your daily.

I like quiet. WS2
Better than a listening to a fart can.
That is why i'm think about hytech or stock for the ITR
I guess i'm getting old.

ws2 is cool to have around, it doesnt attract cops at all. ive had no trouble with mine :] but im craving for something more aggressive, i was thinking about the BC II but it seems to echo everywhere ahah. well my cousins friend has a b18c1 like me in his eg, with a es tuning muffler and custom piping...let me tell you that it sounds amazing

Before you make your decision, I want to ask what power and torque differences does the Spec II make compare to the WS2? Because if the Spec II is loud and makes less power than the WS2, then it'll kinda be like a show item.
loud is only cool on older hot-rods, these cars sound like sheeit with loud fart-cannon, angry bees in a coffee can exhaust systems, the sound is VERY annoying...........JMHO

thanks alot for your guys help. im still undecided as of right now, but im leaning towards the ws2. but as for cops, i live in huber heights ohio. cops arent a problem at all. keep the opinions coming! i appriciate all of your help!
First of all Dayton Ohio? nice! I'm origionally from Cincinnati! LoL anyhoo I personally like the WS2 and think the buddy club sounds like ****, but yeah up to you. if you had to make that decision in CA you'd almost have to go with the WS2. Lucky you're in Ohio!

i voted for WSII....
because....its nice and quiet when you are cruising but its throaty and loud when at WOT....i just had a Apex'i GT Spec, and switched to the WSII with no other mods, so a direct switch, and i love the WSII....
however....
if i lived in the middle of nowhere and cops were not a problem....i might have kept my GT-Spec because at WOT in 3rd gear...i need a towel to clean myself up.....

i'm curious too - i don't think anyone answered dude's question from earlier.
Which one makes more power and torque? I have the same car and I'd want the one that was more powerful. Is it a significant increase or just a little bit more...?
don't mean to hijack but i think it's relevant

i'd prefer the spoon n1 exhaust,
very deep sound and doesnt get whiney at high revs
not too loud to hear downt he street but you'll get some head turners

What might sound good now, can get VERY annoying if you're driving it every day.
I've experienced this with my boyfriend's car (Eran on here). He's had a few suspension setups and exhaust setups that he got tired of very quickly because of the discomfort alone.
I'd personally prefer stock or a factory optional piece if it were up to me. I understand I'm in the minority, but I prefer that nice stock sound. I'd rather hear engine noise over exhaust noise.

assuming that he has a d16 as stated in his sig, and assuming that it is more or less stock. Putting the BC spec II exhaust on will result in his car not being able to get out of it's own way until about 15,000rpm.
so to answer that, my vote is still for the WS2.

haha that made me laugh. ya my engine is pretty much stock, and yes its the d16. all i gots on it is a CAI nology hot wires, platinum/irideum plugs, and a full exhaust from egay. i need a new one cause the on i have sounds like butthole. thanks for the opinions guys! keep them coming
I have to agree.

Case in point, I drove my truck around with open headers when I first put them on, and dont get me wrong it was WAY COOL!!! at first, then it just got annoying, and pretty quick, so on went the mufflers within 3 days........
usually whats really cool at first loses its novelty quickly, I'd stick with something quiet that has a little bit more noise, but a smooth rumble, not an annoying higher pitched noise...... JMHO
ive done a good amount of research on exhaust systems for my car and i decided im going to get a ws2 in the future. Ive read many forums and other such things and most people were mostly in support of the ws2 exhaust system. I dont have one yet so i may not be as much of a help as people who currently own one but from my research for my own exhaust (going more for clean and quiet sound) i found that most will direct you to the ws2 system. IMHO i dont really find imports with really loud exhaust to be very respectable, but if you want that kind of sound i guess go for it. Unless you find another system with substantually better power gains id go with quieter exhaust system like the ws2
