db8 dome light problem

Default db8 dome light problem

i was putting some led dome and map lights in and my dumb self touch it with my screw driver. well i just figured i blew the fuse so i go to check and replace it only one problem there is no spot for it. under the dash i check and check and its not there i swear. so i pull them all and check and nothing. are the dome and map light put somewhere else? some one please help cuz i cant figure it out. and everything else works even the glove box light.

check all the fuses.

i already did and nothing on the fuse cover says anything about interior light or dome light....

test all the fuses under the dash and under the hood not look and see if there is one odds are it is piggy backed onto anoher fuse

Yes there is, it is a "illumination" fuse. But if it blew than the rest of your interior bilbs wouldn't work. I'll check in a few minutes, I know it is there. I've done it too.

Okay the service manual shows that for the 94-97, which I assume is what you have, the #3 and #15 under-dash fuses control lights for ceiling, spot, trunk, and cargo. They way it is wired I think #3 has more of an effect of power loss but 15 is wired in there as well somehow.

its a 98 ya its weird the trunk, glove box, and ash tray light still work everything works but the dome and map lights...

If a 98, I just looked under-hood and ther are two fuses marked:
Small, Lantern; and Interior Lights.
Check those

I know this is different than the 94-97 so don't worry about what I said on that.

thanks bro finally fixed turns out the fuse cover under my hood is the wrong one.
