99 civic with a 94 LS swap


ok so i just put a new clutch into my car,i was all excited i had 100 miles to go in the breakin period and one night coming home at a red light i threw it into first and the car jumped around and stopped. i figured eh just stalled, my friend laughed at me and said "ha rookie maneuver" lol so we started it up and left. next day on the highway i was goin about 75MPH and my RPM started jumping around, between 2000 and 4000 rpm and everytime i would give it gas it would make this really low purring sound. the only other time i heard this sound was when i messed up my distributor during a race and i replaced it (less than a year ago) i parked my car and let it sit for a few minutes and then it started. everytime i hit a bump in the road i feel it pull like it wants to do that again and now i usually have to rev it up to about 3500 and slowly release the clutch and it will go but the moment i get to a stop light or stop sign it shuts off... could it be my gas pump? wiring harness? help?

 

Check the igniter unit in the distributor.
