My cluster reads when car is at 0 around 10ish and when i am in 5th gear at 3k rpms ill be around 40mph on the cluster. what could this be?

 

I don't know but I am selling one right now for sure cheap!!! haha, shameless plug. Have you replaced the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) on the tranny? try taking it out and seeing if it is stuck or dirty, may need to be replaced or cleaned...

 

if its a VTEC cluster ill take it and how many miles

 

I honestly don't know how many miles are on it, I bought it a long time ago looking to do EL swap but never got around to it, and now that I have a 5th and am selling my 4th I am getting rid of excess parts- I am not sure if there is a difference between the prelude vtec and the prelude si in terms of cluster (somebody else wanna chime in here) but the one I have red lines at about 6800 RPM (of course it is not plugged in so the gauges are hard to read). I bought it in perfect working condition HOWEVER i cannot validate this and take no responsibility if I was ripped off and that passes on to you therefore $40 plus $15 for shipping is what I would sell it for... this is much cheaper than I bought it for but do realize there is risk (very minimal) involved... PM if you are interested, if you send your email address I'll send pics.

If I remember correctly miles were around 160k but I could just be pulling that out of my ***...

i might just never really cared. im pretty sue that the speed signs(that read your speed) are close enough so it wasnt a big deal

 

well i dont know why its reading 15mph off mad weird no one at all had this before?

 

Mine is accurate up to 100 km/h....and then after that it seems to be off 5 km/h for every 10 km/h I accelerate. So 110 km/h on the dash is 105 km/h, and at 120 km/h im actually going 110 km/h.

I've just gotten used to it, and learned to drive accordingly.

 

my car will be good from 0 till 20 than stay stuck there for lke a good 2 seconds idk wtf it could be

 

Sounds like VSS i have a brand new one if you decide u need it. I bought it and found it it was a fuse >.<
