Default Mini me swap help!

i have d16y7 motor and planning on putting a y8 head. can i use the y7 timming belt or do i have to use the y8 timing belt? one of my friends told me its better to use the Z6 timing belt so please enlighten me with some input please!

Generally you match the timing belt to the head. In this case it doesn't really matter though, all 3 engines listed use the same 104 tooth timing belt.

it would be better if you had the whole y8 setup..intake manifold etc. i think it depends on what kind of dizzy your using too.. cuz im doing a mini setup too but i have a d15 block with a y8 head and im using the d15 dizzy and same cam gear ( transfering them) and z6 timing belt...just look it up here.. a lot of people done these swaps but ya i dont think you NEED the fuel rail but it would be better to have
