Loid bang coming from coilover. Aragosta
Hey there guys, I'm having a bit of an issue with the coilovers in the new car I bought. Car si an 88 crx with Aragosta suspension. When going over even small bumps and ruts the rear passenger side(driver i guess, rhd) coil sounds like the spring disloges and hits the inner fender wall. The bang is VERY loud and I can't deal with it much longer, sometimes it even happens rapid fire when going over a couple bumps in a row. I jacked up the car today to see if it was just too low and hitting the fender, but as far as I can see there are no signs of anything hitting the inner fender.
So now I'm stumped, car is low but not that low(still almost 3 inches left to go down). I'm going to raise it a couple turns and see if that helps...one other thing is the I tried to adjust the stiffness on that coil but the allen key doesn't appear to be catching anything and is just spinning itself, and it will pull right out..
Any thoughts and help would be really appreciated.

Well I raised the car a little more then half and inch in the back, and same problem, but it did seem a little quieter. Might all be in my head, I think I'll raise the back a little more and the front some and see what happens.
Just visually I've checked things over and everything appears to be fine, the noise really does sound like a spring hitting something, but there it no marks the indicate its hitting the body anywhere. I'm raising it a bit more today and will see where that gets me.
One thing I did notice when adjusting is when they are threaded up the same amount, the side with the banging still has about a quarter inch between the spring and top of the coil while the side with no banging, the spring is touching the top with the same ammount threaded while jacked up...
