DC ITR front bumper support issue and HID for non-hid lights?
Hi, I just picked up a DC2 with a jdm front. It seems they might have ghetto-rigged the front because the bumper has been cut from behind to fit the bumper support. Now my question is if that happens, did that mean they didnt buy the whole support for it? Im pretty sure you have to weld the radiator support but this one seems like they didnt do it. I also see weld spots on top like that bracket where the headlights bolt up to.. I also see holes that have been drilled and screwed on to make it stay on.
What would you guys recommend me doing as to make it look and fit right? It has a gap on one side. Im not 100% sure if they have the support so If it doesnt should I buy one?
Also these lights are non-hid; what are the part or spec numbers to get for low beam 6000ks?
Thanks in advance.

How they did it is a pretty common method. I actually perfer just replacing the top T part of the support because you keep most of the strong factory welds. The only difference between usdm and jdm supports is that top piece because the lights are different, so it seems kinda pointless to remove the entire support. And cutting the frame a little bit is normal also.
As far as the bolts that's usually done as a cheap *** alternative to welding. So I'm not sure why it would be welded and bolted. Maybe they used the bolts instead of clamps while they welded and just never took them off.

So cutting the bumper is normal?
The bumper doesnt fit the stock bumper support. I dont want to remove it for safety reasons, so would I have to get a jdm bumper support? I think it looks a lot cleaner with the lines/grille in the mouth.

Thanks I went ahead and used my other bumper and cut it just enough so it fits but saving as much as I can for the looks.
Looked at my lights and found the bulb numbers 9006 so will be using that.
