so all i need is to download hondata onto my laptop which i have done and plug the ostrich into it from my socketed p28 and i can tune from there...?

No, you must purchase the romeditor v4 from a hondata dealer (dongle cable & software)

did you have to purchase the program like stated earlier? cause i was able to download it but didnt think i could use it on the ostrich without buying the right to burn chips....

You must use the dongle cable that is included with the romeditor v4 to be able to burn chips etc.

im not burning chips, my cable from the ostrich plugged right into the laptop and laptop read it and thats it

Romeditor 4 will not work unless you have purchased it. It will also not work with an emulator unless you have purchased it.
