Default MSD with hondata s300

Is anyone running Hondata s300 with a billet MSD distributor and external coil pack? Im having some high rpm break up on my 2000 boosted gsr and im trying to pinpoint if its the culprit. a/f's are 12:1 at WOT. Any feedback is apprecitiated.

Try a stock distributor with a stock coil (OEM, not discount).

plugs look good but im not really sure how to read plugs that are ran on ethanol, im almost positive wot is around 11.5-12:1. I cant get my hondata to reconize my wideband so i dont have any logs to give me solid proof.

I use the M&W pro10 with crane PS92 coil and Hondata s300 on many cars, no issues.. Stock distributor as well.

Make sure they are not the non resistor plugs. The 5280 or 5328. Use the 2669 plugs for up to about 1000HP. Step the gap down if you guys are blowing spark out. That usually doesn't occur until you start to get some real big boost levels with an ignition system that can not keep up.

No, I would keep those plugs. Those are perfect for a Honda making up to 1000WHP. I was able to make 700WHP on a street car with stock ignition. Just gapped the 2669 (BKR9EIX) to .018. Nice and smooth, and no spark blow out or timing issue.

These are the same plugs that Eggum racing used.

I did send him the logs, he was the one that suggested to go with the m&w box and crane coil, but I already have $800 in the MSD set up im running now, so im trying to exhaust every variable that may be causing the problem before i go and spend another $800...and thanks for the props Jim, where did you dissapear to?
