Icon6 CD Stuck in Accord EX factory system

I travel a lot and I love Audiobooks on CD. About a month ago, I bought one and put one of the CDs in and I got the --- symbol. This has happened before, but usually the screen shows Err and then spits the CD out. This time however, the Green "CD in chamber" indicator went off and now I can not get the CD out of the chamber. When I hit the CD button, nothing happens at all. The only way I can get any CD screen results is if I hit the CD buton and the Eject button at the same time. Even then, it just shows the --- symbol, but no green light and after a few seconds just goes away. Has anyone seen this before? If so, how do you fix it?

my wife's factory in-dash changer quit working and gave some sort of error message... (i don't like being taunted by electronics..haha) so i pulled it out of the dash, carefully cracked it open and was able to retrieve 4 of the 6 trapped CD's.

i was able to reassemble it but it was very tricky... it works no better now than before but i got the CD's.

if you're anywhere close to wanting to install an aftermarket unit, i think you'll be better off in the end doing so than trying to get the factory unit fixed..

If you do, look for one with a front-USB port. I have one that I use for audiobooks / podcasts all the time, probably 95% of the time that I'm in my Honda.

Just go to your local library, get whichever audiobooks (books on CD) you want, take them home and rip them into .mp3s. Return the audiobooks. Transfer the .mp3s to a flash drive then just plug it directly into the radio.
