how to test tps sensor?
take a digital volt/ohm meter, set it to volts 0.00 or 0.000 for a better more accurate reading test the middle wire out of the three which i think is red, if not juts the one in the middle, with the throttle closed it should read 0.5 volts or .5 volts, then have somebody pull your throttle cable to WOT (wide open throttle) incase you didnt know, all the way open and now it should read 4.5 volts or 4.49 which is pretty much the same, if its not then loosen up the 2 bolts and turn it very slightly and test both closed and WOT till its too that specs, trust me i just did this to my type R last week its a bitch but its worth it throttle response is ALOT better
ok thanks. i will try that. i just odered a new blox one because when pluged in i dont think its working at all and the cel is coming on. if it is not aligned right will it throw the cel?
Yes, it will cause a CEL if it's not calibrated right. You can google for calibration directions. You can use the voltage values listed by B16aCRXSi and tap the center wire as he said. Just make sure the car is not running. Turn the key to the on position so all the indicator lights are on, but don't start the engine.
