Some Updates that i was shoked and pised at the same time about.
I raced an 2001 gsr with stock headers and an 2.5 catback with just an knn filter otherwise all stock and i lost to him considering i have tsudo 4-1 headers and an 2.5 catback ehaust with typer R pistons. He pulled on me a good 2 3 cars. Whats wrong with my tegy. Could be there way to much back presure and my cat cant handle it so its burning up because i have a funny smell after i stop riding it, like a sweet smell, or when i purchased my "gsr"tranny it wasnt a gsr but an ls tranny that making me slow.
After i semi rebuilt my botom end with new type r pistons and rings with a fresh hone etc etc after bending some valves in my head. Got that fixed to. The compresion is all 220+ on all pistons after about 1400 miles on her and still climbing. My main isue is the idling. I cant get her to idle at 800rpm. Thge idle just goes up and down the whole time and when i come to a stop half the time the engine just dies of if i dont give gas.
I have loked trough all the vacum lines, cleaned out the idle air control valve yesterday hoping to se some results butt nothing.
Any help/sugestions would be greatly apreciated.
This has been going on for more then a month and is geting anoying.
Thanks

i was having a hunting idle issue with my car as well. Two other recommendations I have are to clean your FITV (the one on the bottom of the throttle body, there is a write up in the sticky), and secondly, I would try loosening your throttle cable (make sure the throttle body is closing completely). Might sound rather stupid, but that was my problem.

The fast idle thermo valve, is the valve that controls how your idle adjusts during warm up, kind of like a choke on a non-fuel injected car, but on our cars it can cause idling issues when the car is at operating temp. There are three bolts underneath the throttle body that hold this valve on, it is actually attached to the underneath of the throttle body, it will have a nipple with a coolant line attached to it. The black container you are thinking of is the IACV (that is on the firewall side of the intake manifold). Just look in the DIY sticky in the integra forum main page for the FITV cleaning write up. It will take you like 15 min to clean this thing and it may do the trick.

I had the same problem with my hatch last year. Come to find out it was a vacuum leak. Check all you connections and check for air leaks. Hope you can get this fixed up.
I am also having the same issue with my b17a1. it wont idle at all when its cold and once it warms up it idles but low like 100-300 rpms but after i hit vtec it wont idle at all. Any ideas?

you're going to need to get those lines and plumb them. one should come off the fitv and plumb into the nipple on the left (standing in front of vehicle) the other goes into the water neck under the intake manifold
