96 Integra - no spark
Hi, I sure could use some help...I picked up a 96 Integra in which the timing belt was broken and I replace it and all the valves since many were bent. The guy I had picked the car up from already had the head out, but I believe I put everything back together OK along with new plugs.
Car cranks no problem but I can get any spark. I checked the coils according to the shop manual and troubleshooting flow charts and I have power to the distributor and just replaced the ignitor inside the distributor...still no spark.
I believe that the TDC sensor is built into the distrib, but don't really know how the spark gets generated. I imagine that the ECM is involved...so it's looking like it might be a bad ECM, but I'm not sure and don;t really want to put out the $$ if I don't have to.
Any ideas?
Thnaks in advance.
