Default 83 Mazda RX7

This seems like it would be a pritty sweet project. Check it out. Here is the decription. There are pics if you click on the link.

P.S. This is not my car. I just found it today while looking at craigs list.

83 Mazda RX7 Runs good but needs work (CARB). We've owned it since Feb. 1997 I had thought about making it a fun street car before so I had picked up a header and a Duel Weber Carb set up for it a few years back. I also have another used, stock carb, that came with the car when we bought it in ' 97.. Over all the car is pretty straight. The hood shines more then the rest of the car due to the fact that back around 2002 we had the motor replaced and while it was at the shop they damaged the hood so they repainted it. No major issues just the normal 36 year old wear and tear. Asking 1150.00 CASH ONLY or best offer for car. Dual Weber set up and header Negotiable... NO Scammers If interested email or call 720.341.1386 If no answer leave message. I'll check emails when I can but it may take a while.

I used to own one of these except mine was an '85. The stock 12a motor in these has 100 hp and that was back in the 80's, so these have next to no power. The motor they put in the gsl-se was the 13b and it has around 140 hp and it was fuel injected. I just used mine as a daily and it was alright for that since it was very reliable but I wouldn't try to tune it to make it faster unless I swapped the motor. I could only find one set of aftermarket wheels for it and that was the kosei K1's since the bolt pattern is 4x110. In my opinion your better off buying a Honda for a $1000 as a project rather then this car.

I wasn't going to buy it. It just seemed pritty clean for the year and the price. I have a 1998 Honda CX like my name implies but someday I want to buy a car for like $500 and beat the hell out of it. Just use it as a weekend rally beater. I mean like a dryer ducting intake or a backyard turbo, used rims and tires from a junkyard for like $20, and other cannibalized and cheap parts.

Probably a slight price difference between the above vehicle and an '83. :-)
