thanks
thanks
Hey whats up! You can swap them out keeping your tranny and all as is, you are going to need a new ECU for vtec... you could always put an H22 head on your F22 block.
so how would it run with the h22 head on it?? would it be the same as a real h22? like the same power and what not. and so your saying i can keep all my f22 stuff when i put the h in. and i only need the ecu? sorry for so many questions i am losted when it comes 2 ludes lol
okay read this...

and yes F22 trans with H22 is elephant ****, BUT you could do the swap then do the trans later... when it comes to tuning find somebody in your area and work with them... also try to find somebody that can do the swap for you if you are not too familiar.

Ill tell you why i dont like them,
The Main reason ( Pm me if you want more )
you cannot hone them when you replace rings which makes replacing rings pretty much useless as the current wear on the cylinder will either get worse or just ruin the rings over a period of 5,000 miles. ( With high milage and boost, this is a must )
With 15 Psi of boost i'll replace rings every 20,000 Miles with stock pistons, Honing the cylinders everytime, Unless you want to dump 1 grand every 1,000 miles to re-sleeve FRM you go right ahead.
Now, Theres nothing wrong with using the h22 mind you, i have nothing aginst it, its just not my choice in engines. If you like it, Good for you. F22 is just my prefer'd engine, Well g23 would be my choice, but thats beside the point.

BUDGET BUILDS FTL!.../done
1,000$ Per Re-Sleeve. I replace rings and hone cynlinders every 20,000 Miles When i run more boost then the rings should hold.
Go run 15 psi on oem rings and pistons on your Frm and let me know how many miles it gets you.
In the mean while ill put that 1,000 into something more useful

And 15psi on FRM/oem slugs/rings has been done since the late 90s.......Either way, its drunk driving......& I don't condone it.[but you're talking to a guy that sprayed ~150lbs of Nitrous@100shot on a stock motor]
But, when it lets loose, I'm NOT going to mess with the cheap way out.If it works for you, awesome. Its just NOT the right way to do things......
why NOT do it right the 1st time, and NOT worry about it for a long long time. Who wants to rebuild every 20k miles? Not me......
People need to start putting a "VALUE" on their time........
this reminds me of the age old CHEAP $100 AXEL DEBATE.......
"But they have a LIFETIME warranty if I break them!"

I dont re-build every 20,000 miles cause i have too, I do it cause i like to and because it prevents any further damage.
On the iron sleeve, if you re-sleeve the h22 then good, Thats probbly the best thing to do, But why Throw out a f22 single cam with iron sleeves, dump 1,000 into a h22, then another 1,000 into re-sleeve, then another 600 into good piston and rings. You spent alot of money, If your worried about the DOHC, Just do the h22 conversion, I mean its not like either motor is perfect by any means, but they both have there perks.
Im not bashing h22 users im just giving reasons why i stay with the f22, its just my motor. Same reason Bisimoto runs an f22a1 in an insight and gets like 8-9 second slips. Because the motor is amazing.
But im done debating this issue. Im not trying to promote the F22, I like being one of the Only sohc users in my town that DONT want to swap.

I wish Die-Hard F22 guys would STOP using him as a crutch......
Im not using him as a crutch it just shows the potential of the f22. Im only saying "Hey look what it can do if you were rich"
But its okay to be jealous of him, i know i am, So its no big deal envy is a common emotion.
Where the hell did you get that number from LOL. Just Fyi, Alot of my parts Will have the Bisimoto name on them, As there superior to alot of other brands.
f22 will last just as long if not longer then the h22, Specially if you take the 1,000 you put into re-sleeving, and used it for repairs / preventative maintenance.
