Default mirrors

So maybe im retarded i tried the search button with no avail.

anyways, I just bought a bone stock 92 cx hatchback and it has no right mirror, and the speedometer does not work. so i was just wondering is it possible to get two new matching mirrors (probably spoon style) and mount it on the right side regardless of the fact that there is not one there now? and, should i just look for a whole new 92-95 cluster gauge or do you guys think it might have something to do with the wiring harness?

and just a side note, how do you guys feel about coils vs. struts and springs?

Dead speedo could mean a bad VSS to bad speedo in the cluster or anything connecting the two. Try finding a known working gauge cluster to test in your car, if a working one won't work in your car then its most likely your VSS.

I'm sure you just have a block off plate covering where the right mirror would go and all you have to do is remove it and the holes to mount a new mirror will be there.

Okay thanks man, i am in the process of getting a whole new gauge cluster (mainly because i also want a RPM gauge) and then i will put it in and try it.

As for the mirrors i will go pull off the backing and check if there are the holes to mount the new ones. If not do you guys think i could measure the ones on the drivers side and maybe like drill them out and use a but and bolt to secure the new mirror that is going to go on that side?
