My Subs
Will sometimes just stop playing.
then i have to turn the head unit off and back on to get them to come back on
Anyone know whats wrong,
I'm running two ten inch cs1004 bazooka's on an alpine v12 300 watt amp.
the subs are rated at 150 RMS each.
My uncle said to change out my head unit because its like junk anyway and a guy at best buy said i needed a bigger amp but idk if he was just saying that to try to get me to buy one haha. someone help me please.

x2 plus u can defenitly know by checking ur amp, the green light on the amp should turn red or a diff color when it goes into protection mode. u need a bigger amp most likely
SVC - single voice coil - 1 + and 1 - on each side on sub
DVC- Double voice coil -- 2 + and 2 - on each side on sub
No, you don't need a bigger amp to do this because you sub are rated 150 R.m.s. 300 R.m.s amp would be good enough. IT just depend if the amp do rated. How are wiring inside the box??
okay so did more looking.
i need to check whether they are svc or dvc
but they are 4 ohms
the amp is rated at
150 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
300 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
and is a mono
basically what i need to know is how to wire this... because the box has an outlet for each individual sub so i have two wires going into the (+) and two in the (-)
does this mean i have 8 ohms going into the amp?
and the amp gives me an e-3 code which is a wiring issue,
some help would be greatly appreciated.

Those Subs are rated at 150W@4 ohms.
If they are wired in parallel, they would look like a 2 ohm load to the amplifier and some amps cannot handle that. your amp should be able to handle that. There is the possibility that you are over-driving the input of the amp and pushing it into clipping which would draw too much current and trip the overload circuit in the amp. Double check the output from your head unit and the input sensitivity of the amp.
