Used gc/konis

I'm picking up a set of used gc/konis for 6k miles. What should i be looking for into buying these to know they are a good set?

Shocks on their own:
Leaks.
Do they return to full extended state when compressed.
Do they compress without 'shocks' if you do that by hand.
