Is this the correct T-Body gasket?
B16a3 ... I have never messed with the t-body or anything before so I dont know if there are supposed to be 'holes' in the gasket for everything.. but take a look because it covers some of the grooves and such.

at one point, it even has a hole leading from the air chamber right off the surface of the t-body..
thanks for any help!

true enough.. but in the first picture it shows one of the holes in the gasket goes from the 'air chamber' right off the surface.. which I suspect would cause a leak of some sort.. and let unfiltered air get in..
but again.. first timer with the t-body so im sure there is some info I am missing.
thanks again for the replies.

that ante the right one you got there, theres no way that gap should be there, talk to someone in the honda garage that knows how to work a computer. you use that gasket your goin to get a vacuum leak and your revs will go crazy

yeah well come to think of it it looks like a tb from a D-series motor, i didnt think you just got it so i didnt say! sorry man! check the sales section, or find a junk yard
That throttle body gasket you have is for a vehicle with a FITV, which you don't have. Hence the large hole in the bottom. Any of the B series 96+ MANUAL transmission gaskets should work fine from what I have gathered, but the one you have there is clearly not the correct one. The correct one will look just like the one you have right now without the extra crap towards the bottom of your TB.
he bought, what he was told, was a B series TB
so he goes to buy a B series TB gasket and all the sudden it doesnt match.
Means whoever sold him the TB screwed him
ohh lol thats messed up my bad he got screwed
It will leak from the bottom which is the top left on the first picture. Engine won't idle properly and too high. You can run the car for couple miles but not recommend. You'll be risking burning your valves.
The bottom part of the OBD1 throttle body is the "VALVE ASSY., FAST IDLE"

wow thanks for all the replies guys! sorry I didnt check up on my own thread.. so my problem is .. I am going to the ref.. and my motor has to be to B16a3 spec.. I already have the block and head.. so this is the last part I need to figure out.. the OBD2 gaskets look like they will work perfectly! my concern is that Hybrid96EK mentioned I dont have a FITV .. is this going to be a problem? thanks guys.. I just got done calling acura and sourcing LS tb gaskets so now Ill call back and see if I can match my tb up with one of the OBD2 ones!
up for more info.. really appreciate the help

well I guess I just answered my own question.. I need the FITV because if I were to just loop the hoses the ref would surely fail me.. =/ so Im up for and OBD1 T-body!
No. You need to match the throttle body to the year of the chassis/engine. If its an OBD1 engine, then yes, you need an OBD1 TB. If its an OBD2 engine and you are trying to ref it as one then you need an OBD2 throttle body. The FITV was ditched on most of the Honda/Acura engines when they went to OBD2. They are honestly more of a pain in the *** then a help in my opinion.
