Default DC Sports 4-1 or Comptech 4-2-1???

I'm about to go buy a Comptech SS 4-2-1 header for $100 in excellent condition. It's such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. My question is, will I notice any difference from my DC
4-1 header? I know 4-2-1's give you more low end, which is what I want anyway, but I don't want to sacrifice it too bad up top. I figure for $100 I can resell it for double or triple the $ if I don't want it, they sell new for $560. Also, it's wrapped in DEI header wrap, which is cool.

Everyone says DC sucks and I don't want to spend $900 on an RMF or hytech header, so I figured Comptech would be a good compromise. I've got an N/A LS/vtec with CTR head and internals and the usual bolt-on's. He's also going to sell me an AEM GSR CAI with bypass valve for an extra $50, so I should be able to sell that for $150 and get the header for free!

Kinda funny, you answered your own question here .. lol
Less money for more product gets my everytime, and the low end will help you hit vtec quicker so its all good, the high end doesn't need much due to the fact you already have vtec ..

get the comptech imo

If I can get into vtec quicker, then it's definately worth it. I just picked it up, so hopefully I'll have it on this weekend. It was a sick deal, $150 for a fully wrapped comptech header and AEM CAI with bypass valve. They're both in excellent shape. I can only go up to 8k with the ls bottom end anyway, so I probably won't miss any usable hp.

I've got it chipped with Skunk2, but I'm going to get hondata in a couple months. I want to upgrade my fuel and ignition systems before I do that. I heard it wasn't a good idea to st vtec lower than 5500 rpm.

Sorry, my setup:

CTR Head complete with cams, valves, springs, intake, etc

AEM Fuel rail
AEM cam gears

Save some money here. Don't get the MSD ignition system or the FPR, and gauge. No need.
Get a programable ECU, Hondata, Crome, eCTune.
Sell your old header and SRI and get a tune.

Good luck with your build. Have any dyno's to post up?

Thanks for the advice. No numbers yet, but I hope to have it tuned on Hondata s100 in the next month or so. I'm looking to put down between 190 and 200whp. As soon as I get the dyno charts, I'll post them up.
