Getting the parts from Honda will be expensive, there are more then a few "OEM" style A/C kit suppliers, even though we get our kits from Toronto they are made/put together in Texas.

An "OEM" kit for a Honda Civic will probably set you back under $1000 US for the parts, less for a none "OEM" kit.

You can always hit up the pick and pull and find an undamaged one.

The nice thing about the "OEM" kits is they are just about plug and play. 94

If A/C was an option on the car the an "OEM" kit is made for it.

What year is the Civic and what trim level?

Do you have a link for the $425 one from "hybrid racing"?94

the hybrid racing kit is for k series swaps, you have to reuse most of the existing a/c system.

As mentioned, the above "kit" will not work it contains just the lines needed when a swap is done.
It has no compressor, condensor, evaporator or control head, [A/C switch].

Also as mentioned, if A/C was an option on the car, [even if it never had any A/C] then an "OEM kit" will be avalable, it will come with everything needed except R134a refrigerant and it may or may not come "pre-charged" with the correct amount of A/C oil, if it does come with oil, it will be in the compressor so be careful not to spill it out. 94

thank you very much for the info. one more question if i may? with the OEM kit can i modify it to fit where ever i need it? my car has a turbo and inter cooler so i have to go around lots of obstacles. can i make an OEM kit work? i have allot of space where the compressor, condensor and evaporator can go but it may not be where it would normally come in a stock engine.

Anything is possible, but it will probably be easier to get the turbo system to fit around the stock A/C system.
The stock A/C system will really only fit into the stock mounting locations, some lines, [rubber hose] can be remade to go "around" things. 94
