D series doesn't use a synchro for reverse.
There is no actual reverse gear either. Mainshaft, 1/2 slider, and reverse idler gear.

Even if there was or if you only took the 5th gear side, the D-series synchro, hub, and sleeve are too small to interface with a B-series 5th gear.
