i have a 98 civic EX with a 99 GSR swap and the car refuses to idle.
i switched the IACV with a working one and it didnt do anything.
the car will nto run unless i hold the gas pedal down to keep it alive.
the only modification to it is a Skunk2 Pro Series intake manifold.
the only CEL's its throwing are a code 22 and code 41


i figured i'd come here and give it a shot cuz it seems like this is where the honda gurus kick it. thanks.

 

bump. can a faulty o2 sensor cause it to stumble and run super rich?

 

ya what did you do with ur IACV? Sounds like you either didnt put it on or didnt wire it properly. I belive that Code 22 isnt o2 sensor anyway.

 

yeah code 22 is vtec. and i bolted the IACV down good and hooked up the coolant lines good. (maybe im using the wrong connector? oh crap.)

 

you might have got some connectors mixed up there lol. But the IACV one is pretty unique, well at least it is for a 3 Wire one. Idk what the 2 wire one looks like, but maybe you put the VTEC one in the IACV and the IACV in VTEC lol? that would certainly do it...
