Bad fuel pump, is what it seems like. do you hear the whining noise from the pump when its on. I would check fuel pressure to see if its getting enough pressure.

I agree just check your fuel pump.Hopefully you build your car correctly, it's just not just slapping on parts. What ecu u running?Did u check your other parts if its old or anything such as your distributor, alternator, starter, correct timing, etc?Did you run a compression test? Are you running the stock injectors or aftermarket, if so what kind?Did you even consider resetting your ecu after before driving it?Maybe it just needs a tune.

It could be a fuel pressure problem. is there a check engine light? it could be a distributor problem, cus my car used to blog out at like 3800, but then i had a code 9 problem.
