96 Accord Speedometer Calibration
Speedo wasn't working, so i disassembled it today, was at 20 mph constantly, now that i've reassembled it it registers from 40 to 80 mph. I'm sure i've got the needle on in the wrong position. Does anyone know how to zero or calibrate this thing? Maybe someone that has swapped in a set of white faces has some experience with this.
see if you can find a check procedure for the VSS to confirm that it's good. in fact, does your odometer still work? it should quit if the vehicle speed sensor is bad. if your VSS is good, i would suggest just getting a new or good used gage.
It had stopped working after I zeroed the trip odometer, gears were binding somehow. The VSS is working because the cruise control is still working. Does anyone know how to zero the needle on the speedo?
