Hi all,
I feel pretty dumb for asking this, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the FAQ. I've had an ebay intake tube sitting around that I need to get a K&N filter for before installing, but I'm not sure which dimensions to buy. It's a 3" tube, but after that I don't know if there is a general consensus on the other dimensions for use in a prelude SH. Any ideas?

3" ID is the only # that is mandatory. The others are for your choosing. I went with a 6" long cone shape. 4.5" ~> 6.0". Something like that.

You might mention if this is for a CAI, SRI, or long SRI.

 

Thanks for the reply, Kronn. This will be fore a long SRI, as I didn't want to have to worry at all about hydrolock with a CAI in Seattle, however unlikely. The filter should sit right where the current box is, near the battery. Thanks again!

 

Ok, well mine is the RR-3003. It's 5" long, 6" base, and 5.25" top.
