Default Anyone Bought HID Kits From Here?

Hey guys,

I am new here, but have been lurking around the site for about a month. Thought I would finally join.

Anyways, a friend in another state bought 2 HID Kits from www.65DollarHIDKits.com and wanted to know if anyone else has any experience with them. He bought them for his Civic and Integra and he loves them. He is buying some for his parents car from the same company. They came with a 2 year warranty, PnP, etc. Thought I would ask since there are tons of members on here that might had experience. Thanks!!

For the price I'd say go with DDM, $65+shipping with Life-time warranty and tons of feedback.. My only issue with DDM is their customer service via email is alot slower than I'd like but I still got my issue resolved.

That website is a joke.

"We bring you the most advanced technology available on HID kits by building our kits with Advanced German Technology by Siemens."

LOL Siemens does not produce lighting products under that name. Siemens owns Osram, which does produce automotive lighting, but not aftermarket HID products.

Then the very next sentence: "Match those top quality ballasts with long lasting Xenon HID bulbs that meet and exceed OEM specifications and are Philips approved."

WTF? Philips is a direct competitor to Osram. Why the hell would they "approve" a product that is supposedly made by Osram, or "Siemens" (Osram's parent company) as the website claims?

And then you have the pricing. OEM-fitment D2S/D2R bulbs are sold for $45/pair. Ballasts are sold for $25 (each I think). Then you have rebased bulbs for only $30/pair, and then whole kits with 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts, wiring, etc. for only $65. How does that work? The answer: ****-poor quality.

I'd really love to see hard proof of any of the products sold on that website lasting the full 3500 hours with the normal (usually daily) switching on and off at least once a day.

At least that DDM site doesn't make ghey ridiculous claims to try to drum up sales and make their product appear better or of higher quality.

e-mail sent to that web company asking them to shed some light on the issues I mentioned above, awaiting reply. Hopefully it won't be too much BS.
