whats up honda-tech... im doing a timing belt and water pump next weekend on my mothers 01 3.2 CL. Any write ups on this? Or anyone that has done this job have any pointers? Ive never done a t-belt on this particular model and it doesnt look to bad but i figured ill ask for any advice! A descriptive write up including pictures would be great! I want to avoid purchasing the clymers or haynes manual. Thanks again!!!!

t-belt change should not be that much different from any other J series V6 so the accord instructions might get you by

 

only difference between the 3.0 and 3.2's is the tensioners really.

 

i think you would not be able to perform this at home unless you have a 3/4 impact gun. and if that good luck breaking the crank bolt.

 

from my personal experiences, breaking the crank bolt is the hardest part, i use the crank pulley holder wedged against the subframe, 1/2 breaker bar and a pipe on the breaker bar with the vehicle on a lift. the rest is easy, you can take off the passenger motor mount with out supporting the motor to give you more room.
