PIONEER AVIC D3 HELP
Hey, I put in my D3 last night and I actually hooked up my VSS wire and did the bypass so you can play videos while driving. Well I think because the VSS is hooked up its telling the brain of the D3 to shut off the video. Can someone confirm this is whats happening?
I look at AVIC411.com but no one really asked the question I asked. I live in Orlando so not many trees and tall buildings. Should I just disconnect the VSS wire????

Why the hell would you want to watch a video while you are driving, not only is it illegal it is one of those thinks at the top of the "stupid things not to do while driving" list. 94

Reason no one is going to answer this because it against the site tos and is unsafe and is illegal in all 50 states.
ok... well if a mod wants to delete it then its fine... I know its illegal and i dont watch movies while im driving down the road but if i was on a long trip and i had people in my car i'd just throw on a movie so everyone ELSE can enjoy... i'm sure im not the only one that has done the bypass... but it was just a question....
You did it so you could have full functionality of the NAV while the car was moving. At least that's why most people do it, not to be a idiot and watch videos while driving.
Did you move the mute wire (yellow/black) into the slot above it in the harness and ground it? That will keep the VSS sensor from shutting things down.

also, the wire that your talkin about that needs to be moved up is that from the headunit wire or the one that is feeding from the civic wire harness

All you need to do is add an aux screen for the "passengers" so they can watch movies/videos while you drive.
I guess the ones that supplied the info on how to bypass the safety did not read the form rules, they are lucky I'm not a mod. 94
it has more benifits than just being able to view movies. you may also search POI or change your route while driving. i just took my D3 out and put the f700bt in. on both decks my buddy at an audio shop wire a switch to one of the wires. worked great!!! if i can figure out EXACTLY wht he did i will be back to better help you
Please tell me what rule I broke supplying information on how to allow a pioneer nav head unit to have the same navigation functionality as the OEM Honda unit in my MDX? I posted information on how to enable full navigation functionality of the AVIC-D3. I did the same thing for my D2 in my Teg and my F900BT in my FJ.
