O2 sensor help pls...
My CEL is on and after following a DIY thread to retrieve the code from my 94 accord lx it came back as either the primary o2 sensor or intake sensor...I'm not sure since it only blinked once....either way I was going to test the o2 sensor first. My question is where is the primary o2 sensor? Aren't there two sensors? When looking for a replacement o2 sensor online, I can only find the sensor that goes in the headers. I want to replace it with an OEM Honda sensor so if anyone had the part number that would be great. Thanks in advance
honda cars that have 2 O2 sensors are 1996 and newer. you only have one, it will be under the car on the lower part of your exhaust manifold. some people have tried bosch, but ive heard bad reviews on them. you can go to your local honda/acura dealership and ask them for one, i hear its quite spendy though.
Thanks....but I can only find the o2 sensor that's in my engine bay on online honda parts websites, but if I search for a 96, then the o2 sensor under the car comes up also. I haven't had a chance to look under the car yet but I do know there is an o2 sensor on the upper part of the exshaust manifold in the engine bay. From looking at diagrams online the 94 has one o2 sensor, but the one in the engine bay. I'll just have to wait till I can look under.
Newbie here. I just replaced my primary/front O2 sensor on my 2002 Accord Ex ULEV. Failure code P1166 went away. The replacement O2 sensor is an OEM sensor from Denso bought from through Ebay. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope this helps. Now I could fix that P1267. It would be golden :-).
