Hi all,
Stupid question, on this pic, is that just a screw drove into the head of filter inorder to installed a rubber grommet for
leverage in the air box?

dont think thats the case but you can possibly do it.

you need a hacksaw, a dremel, some sand paper, and some epoxy!

 

Thats done 4yrs ago with my 97CW (RIP) I just now bought another K&N for my 00 FBP and always had it
installed in airbox without that grommet leverage. I am just curious how other did that.

LOL that's mine I recognise the screw coming out at a funny angle. It's the same old RU-3130 mod, I just poked a hole in the end of the filter with a braddle (actually I may have drilled a small hole) and stuck the bolt in with a couple of large washers and a lock nut. I have a E-2427 now better fit.
