Tail light/brake light problem please help!
so ive had this 91 civic dx 4 door sitting around for a while and recently got it running because i had to sell my other civic and my DA is in pieces.
I have recently been having brake light and tail light problems due to corroded plugs. I fixed all of that and everything has been fine until last night the brake lights would not light up.
the turn signal lights, reverse lights, and the two brakelight/tail lights DO light up, they just dont get extra bright when i hit the brakes. i checked all the bulbs, all the connections and everything seems fine. what do i look for next?

im not sure why it would be the fuses since the tail lights DO light up and stay on when i hit the brakes, they just dont get brighter. but yeah i checked the fuses allready and they are all good
idk mine lit up when i hit the breaks but i let off and theyd go off, i replaced the fuse and it worked, but its the same fuse that lights the license plate light so if thats on then its probly not the fuse

make sure you have the correct dual philiment bulbs. also check the brake light switch, its above the brake pedal. maybe the switch has backed out or gone bad. the switch should be pushed in whe the pedal is "at rest" and it should pop up when pressing it activating the bright philiment in the brake lights. check your grounds and sockets for corrosion (again i know).
