well this isnt a very technical thread, but to make it technical....
i prefer a OEM metal hood because the extra weight on the front of the car i believe helps the car more overall with traction, then a carbon hood would help with weight....
plus you wont have to worry about hood pins and hoods flying up on u n ****...

to be honest I hate how it looks especially on white or bright colored cars. It kinda looks ghetto to me but thats just me. I believe it only has one purpose and thats to make the car lighter. I rather paint over it then show it off.. its an attention ***** for thieves!!

A properly made CF hood would be as stiff/stiffer than its OEM counterpart while shedding off a few pounds.
Like a previous poster said, CF hoods should be for a racing/show-car enthusiast.
as far as it goes for being light weight thats cool, i have one, but they just look like **** after a few years, it really sucks, they dual out and crack easily. If you are paint matching it to the car then you got nothing to worry about.
I really like mine it's nice for lifting the hood all the time since it weight next to nothing. Also my car is painted so close to the color of carbon fiber and the fenders are faded into the paint so it is really hard to even notice that it is carbon fiber. But if i had a car that was like white or red i think it looks really ricey. If you paint the carbon fiber to match your car in my book that is baller. Like courtney said if you don't paint it to match the car you just have it to show off since the weight is probly not really doing that much.
Hey guys just wondering, how does this hood look? Im going to be painting it midori in a few days once all my parts are together.
