just wondering, a dude from autozone saw my del sol and told me that the engine i have is a d16z6 but it only comes in 5spd, mine is auto, is he crazy and need to apply at a hair salon or should i apply there?

and if he is right will that b the reason my car sucks between 2k and 3k rpm? has no power at all there on all gears.

 

go back to that autozone and smack the guy upside the head! then tell him to never speak of hondas again!

d16z6 came in both 5 speed and auto.
i believe only the 95-97 del sol with the b16 powerplant only came 5 speed.

 

he needs to apply at a hair salon... and if you believe him, you might as well apply too

 

It comes both in 5spd and Automatic form, all single cams do.

 

My local hair salon is not hiring.
I just got my first Honda and I did believed him.

 

96-97 del sol Si's came with the y8 which was 5 speed

 

Some of them were, they were available as an automatic though. Only the '94 - '97 Del Sol Vtec was unavailable as an automatic.

 

i was wrong bout the years but a few del sol also came with a b16 powerplant here. b16A3 on the 94-95 del sol.
