Well my headgasket is toast and im not putting a couple hundred into a tired motor. I want to get a year appropriate jdm motor and put it in, but cannot find a link or straight info about what i will need to do to make it work.

what year is your cr-v? all b20s will bolt in no problem. it just comes down to if you have a 97-98 or 99-01, and that is just because the newer ones have a bump in comp and could prolly use a little more fuel than the 97-98.
hmotorsonline.com is perfect for jdm motors. they have b20's for like $600 bucks. my buddy got one from a scrap yard in the city for $600 dropped off at his house.
heres the exact link. $550 plus shipping for 96-98 and $750 plus shipping for 99-01 http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30027

yes, you need the crank sensor from your old engine and I would just do a new oil pump and timing belt also. Dont forget to to the valve alignment asap as well
Just do this (http://ff-squad.com/wp/?p=309) and save the $250-$400 for an oil pump, timing cover, and CKF sensor.
