I just bought a set of new fenders off password JDM because im doing a 99-00 front end conversion on my EK and I was at my grandparents for a couple days and took my dads van, and I come home and my left fender is bashed in! Obviously I am VERY pissed because I JUST bought them and I was planning on getting my car painted but now I have to get a new fender. I was wondering where can I get just a sinlge fender? I dont want to pay another $200 when I only need 1 fender. They are the JDM ones with the side marker hole pre cut.

EDIT: What do you think of this? I guess I could have someone cut the hole for me.

Is the design of the fender different? If it's not, just get a certifit fender and cut the sidemarker hole yourself.

 

I want the pre cut one because the placement is perfect and I dont trust my skill with a dremel.

 

God this pisses me off so much! I think it may have been one of my little sisters friends on a bike or something because only the fender is damaged, I had it parked a way that if it was hit my rim would have scratches as well also my doors were unlocked and I had my ipod and deck and wallet and stuff in there so I dont think whoever did it, did it on purpose.

Well the cost to fix it would be greater than buying a new one. Check out the link I posted in my first post.

 

The cheap eBay fenders don't fit exactly right, but with a little tweaking it will. And just make a template from your old fender to the new one, then you can't f it up.

 

The password JDM one didnt fit 100% right because they arent OEM either, so im not gonna get a good fit unless I order from Honda so I figure the ebay one will be just as good as the password JDM ones fit wise and if not I have 5 days to return it. Already got the templet made up

 

egay fenders huh? i should warn you. I had bad experiences with them. they are completely not align to the body lines. just pay that $200.

Oh I see, you bought the new "JDM Spec" ones, not the used OEM ones that they sell.

 

I couldnt find any used ones atleast not for 99-00

Yea, I see now. I didn't even know they made copies. I knew they sold the OEM ones though. Looks like they don't have 99-00 OEM in stock.

I honestly dont think the ebay one will be that bad, I am not expection 100% OEM fitment, and like I said I can return it if it looks like crap.

 

Ok so I just got back from the body shop he said....

$300 to fix it
$80 for a new one

I asked if the new one will be OEM and he said
"no it's after market just like this one"

EDIT: Ok I ordered the "egay" fender it should be here some time next week I will update this thread with pics after I install it.

 

we are here to just give you suggestions. if you feel that you should just replace it with non oem ones. then go for it. were not here to make the decisions for u. i know a few places that sells just single fenders. but you just need to ask them.

 

Has anybody been able to compare the Password JDM ones to real JDM oem fenders? I wonder how close they are in quality, build, fit and finish?
